Japan\u2019s Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine landscape is anchored in <\/span>Kampo<\/span><\/i> (traditional Japanese medicine), influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine but adapted to local culture and context. Kampo includes standardized herbal formulations, acupuncture, moxibustion and body\u2013mind integration. Shinto and Buddhist healing practices also shape wellness concepts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare approves Kampo remedies under national health insurance and licenses Kampo-trained physicians. Acupuncture and related therapies are also regulated. Research institutions contribute to clinical and pharmacological evaluation of
