The Democratic People\u2019s Republic of Korea sustains a nationally organized system of Koryo medicine, a synthesis of Korean, Chinese and Indigenous Far Eastern healing philosophies. Koryo medicine uses herbal preparations, acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and manual therapies. These practices are widely used for digestive, respiratory and musculoskeletal conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Public Health actively promotes the integration of Koryo medicine within the biomedical system. Specialized hospitals, research institutions and formal training programmes ensure standardized service delivery. Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine is included in national health coverage and is widely available across rural and urban
