Jordan\u2019s Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine includes Islamic medicine, <\/span>Zamzam <\/span><\/i>water therapy, herbalism and cupping (<\/span>hijama<\/span><\/i>), practised by both licensed providers and informal community healers. Many treatments draw from prophetic medicine and Arab folk traditions, especially in rural and Bedouin areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health has created a legal framework for the licensing of complementary medicine providers, including acupuncture and cupping. Herbal medicine is practised under regulation, and there is growing collaboration with academic institutions on documentation and
