Egypt is a historical centre of Traditional Medicine, with strong legacies of Pharaonic, <\/span>Greco\u2013Arabic<\/span> (Unani) and Islamic healing systems. Traditional practitioners use medicinal plants, cupping, massage and dietary therapies, while spiritual healing and energy balancing remain embedded in many communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health and Population has taken steps to regulate complementary practices through licensing programmes. Unani medicine and herbalism are practised informally, and research institutions have supported pharmacological studies of native plants and traditional
