Mexico has a vast and deeply rooted network of Traditional Medicine systems, grounded in the ancestral practices of Nahua, Maya, Mixtec, Zapotec, Huichol and other Indigenous nations. Healers (<\/span>curanderos<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>parteras<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>hueseros<\/span><\/i>) use herbalism, energy work (<\/span>limpias<\/span><\/i>), <\/span>temazcal<\/span><\/i> (sweat lodges), spiritual guidance and Indigenous cosmologies to promote health and balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The General Health Law recognizes Traditional Medicine, and the Intercultural Health Program of the Ministry of Health supports Indigenous midwives and healers through training, documentation and service coordination. Intercultural health units in some regions offer care pathways that honour traditional knowledge while ensuring clinical safety and
