In Barbados, Traditional Medicine is primarily expressed through <\/span>Afro-Caribbean<\/span> herbal healing and folk practices, often passed down through family lines. Bush medicine, which includes the use of native and cultivated plants for teas, baths and topical remedies, remains part of community life. These practices are increasingly revisited in conversations around wellness and cultural continuity.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health has supported documentation and awareness of traditional health practices, including in the context of noncommunicable disease prevention and healthy ageing.
