Healing practices include herbalism, divination, spiritual cleansing and Indigenous midwifery. Traditional practitioners are widely respected and continue to be a primary source of care for millions across both rural and urban areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0Federal Ministry of Health\u00a0formally supports Traditional Medicine through the\u00a0National Policy on Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine (2007). Regulatory frameworks, institutional support and education programmes have been developed to train practitioners and integrate Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine into primary health care delivery. Traditional birth attendants and herbalists are engaged through health outreach and community
