Ghana\u2019s Traditional Medicine systems are widely practised and deeply valued, drawing on the healing knowledge of Akan, Ewe, Mole-Dagbani and Ga-Dangme communities. Practices such as herbal medicine, spiritual diagnosis, bone-setting and divination are central to community life. Traditional healers and birth attendants often serve as trusted providers, especially in rural and periurban settings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ghana is considered a regional leader in the formal integration of Traditional Medicine. The Ministry of Health, through the\u00a0Traditional and Alternative Medicine Directorate, oversees national policy implementation, practitioner registration and integration into the health system. Ghana has also established training institutions and research units to strengthen scientific and policy support for Traditional, Complementary and Integrative
