Traditional practitioners \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gu\u00e9risseurs<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, herbalists, bone-setters and spiritual leaders \u2013 offer plant-based remedies, divination and culturally framed care that address both physical and spiritual well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ivorian government has made formal efforts to incorporate Traditional Medicine into the national health strategy. The Directorate of Pharmacy, Medicines and Traditional Medicine under the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage\u00a0oversees initiatives aimed at regulating and training practitioners, promoting the conservation of medicinal plants and facilitating research. A national policy was adopted to strengthen integration with the formal health
