Cameroon\u2019s Traditional Medicine systems reflect the country\u2019s exceptional ethnolinguistic diversity, spanning over 250 communities, including Bantu, Semi-Bantu and Sudanic cultures. Healing traditions integrate herbalism, divination, spiritual ceremonies and sacred plant use. Traditional birth attendants, herbalists and ritual specialists play key roles in health and social life, particularly in rural regions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The government has formally recognized Traditional Medicine as part of its national health strategy. The Ministry of Public Health, through its Department of Traditional Medicine, coordinates efforts to regulate practitioners, promote research and integrate services. Training workshops, registration efforts and partnerships with biomedical institutions are gradually expanding the role of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine in health service
