Herbal medicine, spiritual healing and community-based midwifery are common, often shared orally through generations of healers, spiritual leaders and elders. These practices remain a vital source of primary care, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Public Health and the Fight Against AIDS has acknowledged the importance of Traditional Medicine in national health strategies. While formal regulation is still developing, traditional practitioners are widely consulted and often collaborate informally with biomedical services. There are ongoing efforts to support the recognition of traditional healers, improve safety standards and promote respectful coexistence between health
