Burkina Faso\u2019s Traditional Medicine is deeply embedded in the cultural practices of its numerous ethnic groups, such as Mossi, Bobo and Fulani. Traditional healers (<\/span>tradipraticiens<\/span><\/i>) utilize a combination of herbal treatments, spiritual rituals and ancestral knowledge to address health issues. These practices are widely respected and continue to play a significant role in the country\u2019s health care landscape, particularly in rural areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The government has recognized the value of Traditional Medicine through the establishment of the National Program for the Promotion of Traditional Medicine. This initiative aims to integrate traditional practices into the national health system by developing regulatory frameworks, promoting research and facilitating collaboration between traditional and modern health care providers. Efforts include documenting medicinal plants, training traditional healers and including Traditional Medicine in health policy
